Fix Attention on Annie Duke

[ English ]

Annie Duke may not have won her 1st World Series of Poker Bracelet until 2004 but she is still one of the most powerful poker players at the ring games at The Bellagio in Las Vegas. Annie’s long-overdue WSOP bracelet came with success at the "buried game" of Omaha hi-low.

While players from the "younger generation" of poker run wild following a huge win at the tournament, Annie goes home and becomes "mom" to her 4 kids. She was born in New Hampshire and raised into a family of poker competitors. If you do not accept that, watch her brother, Howard Lederer, in action who educated her how to wager on the game.

However, Mrs. Duke is no small fry kind of girl and has won her cut of hard tables, which includes eliminating Howard along the way on several occasions. They’re both players that have the capability to capture the big cash and do so with a smile.

Annie is a tough competitor at any table because she is a natural poker player, but it is a little more than just being strong at the game. Annie is incredibly smart and graduated from Columbia U where she majored in Psychology and English.

When you sit across from Annie at the poker table you’ll see Annie Duke is there to play the game and she starts "sizing" you up from the time you sit down at the game table. If you can’t play like a Champion, then don’t waste your time.

Winning over $3 million in tournament play, Annie Duke became a consultant to both the UltimateBet website and Hollywood actor Ben Affleck, who wanted to enhance his abilities and develop into a force at the tables.

You might just catch a glimpse of her at the Bellagio, you’ll see her on the television and you might even participate against her in an online poker game, but do not count on a simple win. Except of course you are a camp-in-the-making, you’ll not beat her. Although, it would be exciting to say you played at the at the table with "The Duke".
