Online poker has become world acclaimed lately, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game events. The games popularity, though, arcs back in reality a bit farther than its television scores. Over the years several variants on the first poker game have been created, including some games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely resembling blackjack than long-standing poker, in that the gamblers bet against the casino rather than the other players. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little conniving or other kinds of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up prior to the croupier announcing "No more bets." At that instance, both you and the bank and of course all of the other gamblers attain five cards each. Once you have observed your hand and the dealer’s 1st card, you need to in turn make a call bet or give up. The call wager’s value is equal to your original ante, which means that the stakes will have increased two fold. Surrendering means that your wager goes instantaneously to the dealer. After the bet comes the showdown. If the dealer doesn’t have ace/king or better, your wager is returned, including a figure equal to the initial wager. If the bank has a hand with ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand is greater than the dealer’s hand. The house pays out cash even with your wager and controlled odds on your call bet. These expectations are:
- Equal for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for two pairs
- 3-1 for three of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- five to one for a flush
- 7-1 for a full house
- 20-1 for a four of a kind
- 50-1 for a straight flush
- one hundred to one for a royal flush
