Caribbean Poker Protocols and Tricks

Poker has become globally acclaimed as of late, with televised events and celebrity poker game shows. The games popularity, though, stretches back in reality a bit further than its television ratings. Over the years many variations on the first poker game have been created, including a few games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with blackjack than traditional poker, in that the gamblers wager against the dealer rather than the other players. The succeeding hands, are the established poker hands. There is little concealment or different kinds of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up before the croupier broadcasting "No further bets." At that instance, both you and the dealer and of course all of the other gamblers acquire 5 cards each. Once you have observed your hand and the casino’s initial card, you have to either make a call bet or give up. The call bet’s amount is on same level to your original wager, indicating that the risks will have increased two fold. Bowing out means that your ante goes directly to the house. After the wager is the face off. If the house doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your bet is returned, including a figure in accordance with the ante. If the dealer does have ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand beats the casino’s hand. The casino pays chips even with your initial bet and fixed odds on your call bet. These expectations are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • two to one for 2 pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • 20-1 for a four of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
