Caribbean Poker Codes and Tricks

Web poker has become world famous recently, with televised events and celebrity poker game events. Its popularity, though, arcs back quite a bit farther than its TV ratings. Over the years many variations on the original poker game have been developed, including a handful of games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of the above-mentioned games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely related to vingt-et-un than long-standing poker, in that the players bet against the bank rather than each other. The succeeding hands, are the established poker hands. There is no bluffing or other types of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up before the dealer saying "No further bets." At that moment, both you and the bank and of course all of the different gamblers attain 5 cards. Once you have seen your hand and the dealer’s first card, you need to either make a call bet or accede. The call wager’s value is on same level to your original wager, which means that the risks will have doubled. Bowing out means that your ante goes instantly to the house. After the wager is the showdown. If the casino doesn’t have ace/king or better, your bet is given back, including an amount on par with the original wager. If the dealer has a hand with ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand is greater than the bank’s hand. The casino pony’s up cash even with your bet and controlled expectations on your call wager. These expectations are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for 2 pairs
  • three to one for three of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
