Phil Ivey has been branded as the greatest poker contender on the planet by most of the top professionals. Phil Ivey was born in Riverside, CA and moved to NJ before reaching the age of one. His grandpa taught him one cent-ante Five-Card Stud poker. From that point on, he was hooked on poker and wanted to learn every little thing he possibly could about poker. Phil routinely told his parents that he was planning on being a professional poker player.
