Amateurs Schemes for Pai Gow Poker

Pai Gow Poker is a current game with old origins. Built on the old Chinese domino game and the modern American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker marries the far east with the west in a great game for beginner level players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler against the house, not like almost all other poker games that players compete with other players. By betting against the dealer, beginner players don’t have to worry about any other, more knowledgeable gamblers winning their cash.

One more Pai Gow edge is the generally leisurely game play, rookies should be able to take their time and scheme while not having to make quick choices.

It is also much simpler to gamble on for a long time with just a small amount of money seeing as, to not win, each of your hands has to be lower than each of the houses hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the regular 52-card common deck and one joker. The player is dealt seven cards face up and the dealer receives seven cards face down.

A 5 card hand and one two card hand need to be put together from the seven cards dealt, the 5 card hand must be stronger than the 2 card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand values to be better than the dealer’s.
