Double-hand Poker is a current game with ancient origins. Based on the ancient Chinese tile game and the modern American version of poker, Pai Gow poker marries the eastern with the wild west in an excellent game for beginner level gamblers.
Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the player against the casino, not like almost all other poker games that players wager with other players. By betting against the dealer, beginning players do not have to worry about any other, more experienced gamblers taking their $$$$.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the normal 52-card standard deck and a single joker. The gambler is given seven cards faces showing and the casino is given 7 cards faces hidden.
One five card hand and a two card hand have to be put together from the 7 cards dealt, the five card hand has to be better than the 2 card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand totals to be better than the casino’s.
